Black Thumb Designs was born in 2025 from a renewed desire to create. Behind the company is a philosophy of continuity, resilience, and simplicity. We also share a love of and fascination with art, death, and nature. With that in mind, we cater to an audience with similar backgrounds and tastes.

The logo itself was inspired from the imagery of a thumb print and a skull. The thumb print is a distinctive identifying feature and is symbolic of our individuality and personal experiences. The skull is symbolic of life, death, mortality, and rebirth, as well as the wisdom gained from those experiences. Together these symbols represent the overall energy and inspiration behind the art and the artists.
